Plan Ahead

Let me start off by greeting everyone a Happy New Year! Hope you had a blast.

When I first started working freelance, I had a hard time managing my time and keeping track of the things I needed to do. In time I learned to plan ahead and manage my time efficiently. I started using tools that would help me organize my work schedule, tasks and of course keep track of my income. These tools really helped me keep my focus on work and also maintain balance between work and my personal life. In a digital age where your profession is based on the web, it makes perfect sense to use online tools. However, this year I’m going to try something else — in paper.

Today I bought myself a Moleskine 2011 – 12 months monthly notebook. The Moleskine 2011 Pocket Monthly Notebook is dated from January 2011 to December 2011. This planner shows each month on a two page spread. Then it has a double ruled page between each month to take notes, and after the 12 months there are 51 ruled pages. The perfect union between the organization and the freedom of the notebook. Now I can plan ahead and keep track of the things I need to do – offline. I can carry it with me in my pocket anytime and won’t have the worries of not having internet connection. These will also help me capture ideas on times that I am not in front of a computer. So if you are planning on getting an organizer, I would recommend this for starters.

Below is a new stop motion video by Dutch visual artist Rogier Wieland which illustrates the Extra Small Planners – the super portable organizing tools introduced by Moleskine for people who love small writing and miniature design.

Every Moleskine product is thread bound and has a soft cover with rounded corners, acid free paper, a bookmark, an elastic closure and an expandable inner pocket that contains the Moleskine history.

In Cebu: Moleskine products are available at select National Bookstores & Fully Booked
